SPRING CLEANING: ORGANIZE YOUR CLOSET
February 27, 2018
This past weekend I made sure I fulfilled my spring cleaning goals or at least one of them. I had been wanting to clean up and organize my closet for a few weeks but didn't know where to begin. Thankfully I had some great inspiration after seeing Diana Rey organize Kyrzayda's closet last month. I don't have the biggest closet but it isn't so bad either, my biggest concern was that I wasn't using my spaces correctly.
First things first, I made a list of what I wanted to re-organize. At the top of my list were my flat shoes. So I needed baskets for flats, swimsuits, travel and makeup bags and denim shorts! The denim shorts ideas was straight from this photo which I loved and needed to recreate. So what does a girl do when she needs storage baskets? Head to Home Goods of course! It took me a few trips, to be honest but after my 3rd trip to Home Goods, I finally found the perfect baskets for my closet and space.

The best part was of course the price. I paid $14.99 and under for each basket. I headed to Michael's for some tags to label my baskets and waited until the right rainy Sunday to tackle my messy closet. I am so happy with the results and love how neat and cute everything looks. I also got a big box with a lid for my wide brim hats (not shown here) for about $16.99. For now I wanted to share these pics with you guys for some spring cleaning inspiration.
Remember, you don't have to have a ton of money to get organized this spring! I love that I was able to do all this for under $100 and get super cute and organized results. Here are some links for super similar baskets for under $20!

#BEABOSSBABE: GIVEWAYS + COMMENT PODS
February 26, 2018
Hi Boss Babes, I know it's been a minute (a whole week!) since I came on here to update you guys on my FB group: Be a Boss Babe but here I am:) So we had our very first FB Live last Monday and it was great, everyone was so excited and encouraging. So the deal is that we will meet on FB Live every Monday at 9pm Eastern Time. I did a poll and that seems to be a time that worked for everyone.
So on today's Live we will be discussing my thoughts about giveaways, comment pods and growing your following. I don't want to give to much away so that you will all tune in a little later but know that I have done giveaways, in large and small scales. I've don't comment pods and I've also been screwed by the Instagram algorithm like most of us have! So it'll be cool to talk rawly about my thoughts and what has been working for me.
If you want to tune in make sure you join our group HERE and answer all 3 questions you are prompted so I can accept you. A lot of people haven't been answering and I want to make sure that you do so I can know who you are a little better. So let me get back to finishing out tonight's outline, see ya babes lata'!

MY GOALS FOR THE WEEK
February 19, 2018
Happy Monday you guys! It's been such a great weekend, I feel like I got so much accomplished. I had off from my part-time today and we took the kids to the Museum of Natural History in NYC, it was the perfect day for it and I am so happy we enjoyed our day off. Then it was time for Be a Boss Babe (my new FB Group), I did my very first FB Live earlier and it was great, thank you all for joining me. To say I feel accomplished on this fine Monday is an understatement!
So in order to keep this flow of energy on high, I want to share my business goals for the week in hopes to inspire you to jot down your goals and crush them this week with me! First things first, vacation planning! I have a couple of weekend trips I want to take with the kids, so this week I am researching spots for a weekend trip in March... for an amazing collaboration I am doing! Second, send out two pitch emails to two brands I've been looking to connect with. And third, get all my 1099's and backup together (hate tax season!) by the end of the week.
These are 3 main goals this week that I would like to see accomplished. I find that writing them down and seeing them on paper helps me so much. Try it... let me know if it helps you!

NOURISHING YOUR HAIR
February 16, 2018
This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Hair Food. The opinions and text are all mine.
Have you ever really really thought about how you're nourishing your mind, body and soul? No? Me either, until recently. I'm 33 now and I wish I could go back to 20-year-old Erika and tell her how important it would be to exercise, eat well, take care for my hair and skin daily and to always always make time for your beauty regimen, because in some 10+ years all that love and nourishment would pay off. But guess what? It isn't too late…
When it comes to beauty, I've always loved to take care of my hair, face and body. But I've never made a conscious effort to follow a health plan, exercise daily or nurture all these aspects from within. Like anything else, the older you get, the wiser you become and guess what? It feels amazing!
In the last few weeks I've made a conscious effort to take better care of my hair, body and skin. The outside is only going to look as good as how you treat the inside. For energy, exercise. For better skin, hydrate. Health? Less carbs, more veggies and water! For gorgeous and luxurious hair? Nourish it with Hair Food. I've been using Hair Food Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner and I really love it.

Hair Food is inspired by the nutrition found in power foods to fuel your beauty routine with expertly crafted recipes, blending naturally-inspired ingredients and fragrances to revitalize your hair. Just as you feed your body with delicious, nourishing ingredients, your hair is also hungry for real nourishment.
I'm using Hair Food Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner, it's infused with Honey Apricot Fragrance, not only does it smell scrumptious but it's also free of harsh chemicals and I love find products that are safer. When looking for a new shampoo and conditioner, I always look for moisture, actually when looking for any hair, skin or body product I always gravitate to anything hydrating and moisturizing, so this was right up my alley.
Hair Food gives me a luxurious moisture that makes my hair look and feel beautiful. I am blessed to have naturally wavy hair but that doesn't mean I don't have to nourish it and take good care of it as I would any other part of my body. You guys are always complimenting my long locks, so here is my routine: I was my hair only twice a week, using Hair Food Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner with Honey Apricot Fragrance, I apply an oil on my damp hair, brush it out and let it air dry. Typically, I do use the curling iron the next day or so for extra wavy curls but never use heating tools more than once a week. I also try to never go to sleep with my hair up in order to prevent breakage. I'm learning that the more I take care of my hair, the better it's been looking and feeling.

CELEBRATING VALENTINE'S DAY AT HOME
February 14, 2018
So even though I don't believe in celebrating love for just one day a year, I love any reason to be extra thoughtful and loving. Now that I am a mom I love to make cute little traditions with the kids, so celebrating Valentine's Day is special to us. But I have to admit, I rather stay home and set up a cute dinner for us than go out to a restaurant with a pre-fix menu.
So I headed out to Target got some cute themed paper plates, cups, decor, tulips from the market and set up a cute Valentine's tablescape. Dave and I bought small gifts for the kids and for each other. My mom who is a part of our daily lives will also be with us. What better way to celebrate love than to spend it with the ones you love most?
For me, it's more about quality time and traditions than a hallmark holiday. I want my kids to remember these little moments and to always be grateful for all their blessings.
Happy Valentine's Day and hope you're filled with love... from your partner, your children, your parents, your friends, your pets... love is love is love. Tell the ones you love that you love them... not just today with flowers and candy but everyday. Stay blessed!
