About Me

Erika Batista is the CEO and founder of Pretty Kind. Launched in 2021, Pretty Kind empowers women and girls to close the confidence gap. PK’s apparel line and in-person activations help women and girls to learn the tools, tips, and affirmations that can help them transform their mindset.

Inspired by Batista’s journey as a child of immigrants, Pretty Kind is a love letter to her inner child and her children. Batista hopes to bring the same affirmations — I am powerful, I am capable, I am worthy — to other women and girls who may feel like they’re less than in their day-to-day lives. Because a healthy dose of self-belief won’t immediately solve the world’s biggest problems, but it is the seed that helps cultivate the leaders who do and solutions that will.

Batista credits her mother; an Ecuadorian immigrant, for her journey in helping cultivate her courage and self-worth. She tapped into that well when starting her personal blog and accompanying social media platforms. Her online community made a habit of turning to her for her creative vision, entrepreneurial spirit, and grounded lifestyle. Now, Batista is using those same qualities as she takes on the mission of empowering a new generation of women and girls through Pretty Kind’s line of inclusive, affirmation-led lifestyle products.

Erika has been featured on business and lifestyle sites like Forbes, People, Univision, and Telemundo. She has worked with brands like Aveeno, Target, Nordstrom Beauty, Gap, Chatbooks, and Sephora. She is a regular public speaker on the topics of entrepreneurship, community building, and digital marketing.
