WHAT'S A HYDRAFACIAL + WHY I'M MORE CONFIDENT IN MY SKIN
September 26, 2018
So what is a hydra facial? I get that question a lot. Every since I started sharing my hydra facial journey with you guys back in early summer a lot of you had questions. I've been going to LashHouse Beauty Boutique in Livingston, NJ for a few months now and I love them. Not only is the beauty boutique super posh and chic but their techs are amazing at what they do. It's so important to take care of your skin whether you are 15, 25, 35 or 45 and so on... prevention is the first step and for today's beauty post I will be sharing the reasons why I love hydra facials and why I think you should give it a try too.
WHAT IS A HYDRAFACIAL?

The HydraFacial MD is a non-invasive, multi-step treatment that provides immediate results and long-term benefits without pain, irritation or downtime. A 5 step process that detoxifies, rehydrates and protects the skin. Include lymphatic draining (improves circulation, removes toxins, promotes healing and relieved sinus pain) cleaning, hydradermabrasion exfoliation. Chemical peel, automated painless extractions (no pinching), and a special delivery of antioxidants, hyaluronic acid peptide-rich serums. Appropriate for all skin types.
I remember the very first day I got my first hydra facial, you guys, my skin was glowing... no makeup, no anything, just pure natural glow, you may remember from this Instagram video I posted. Besides the gorgeous glow that radiates all day, my favorite part of the facial is actually the extractions and the lymphatic draining. Fun fact, the last time I went (last week) I wasn't feeling too well, my throat was killing me and just like magic, that sore throat went away right after my facial. I credit that lymphatic draining 100%. There are so many benefits to getting routine facials but the hydra facial has more than one purpose and I love how clean and smooth my skin feels after getting one.
You can also add on boosters to your hydrafacial. I have done the Britenol, Dermabuilder and most recently I added the dermaplaning too. I looooove the dermaplaning because not only does it get rid of dead skin cells but it also gets rid of those unwanted peach fuzz hairs. My skin has felt amazing and I don't know why I waited so long to do it. The difference in the texture of my skin is obvious. I've honestly received so many compliments in the past few months and I wear a lot less makeup. So much so that lately I rather wear no makeup to work and it gives me such a boost of confidence. There is nothing like feeling 100% confident in my skin, no makeup, no filter... just a little mascara and lipgloss;)
If you have never experienced a hydra facial before, you totally should. If you are in NJ, check out LashHouse in Livingston for a list of all the amazing services they offer. They don't only specialize in facials, they also offer eyelash extensions, Sculpsure, laser hair removal, microblading and so much more. Check out a list of services here. If you are still on the fence, take a look at the reviews on Google, they have 5 stars and a bunch of amazing client testimonials.
Thanks Nathalie for the amazing opportunity and luxe service. I can't wait to be back for my facials. Oh and congrats to them because they just opened their 2nd location in Madison! Clearly, they are great at what they do. When you make your appointment, tell them I sent you;) If you were referred by me, you will receive a complimentary booster of Britenol or Dermabuilder when you book a hydrafacial and dermaplaning together as well as Complimentary 1st service of Laser Hair Removal offered in Livingston and Madison (areas can be, lip, chin, cheek or under arm). HAIR
Typically after I brush or style my hair, I spray the gray areas and voila! Problem solved. They have different colors for all tones of hair color. Some people even use it to cover bald spots! The bottle is just $9.99 at Target. The only concern is that if you touch it before it dries, it will get on your fingers but it doesn't stain:)
So there you have it my friends... this is the secret to how I cover my grays without dying my hair. Geri and I shot this in my office a few weeks ago and I love how she captured me perfectly as we were getting ready to head out to shoot a few looks.
HOW I COVER MY GRAYS WITHOUT HAIR DYE
September 21, 2018
When I turned 30 some four years ago, my grays went wild! I knew I didn't want to dyw my hair so here is how I cover gray hair without dye! My grays started coming out of the wood works and I started pulling each and every one. I know girl, I knoooow I shouldn't but I did. But then I got smart and I found the perfect solution without having to dye my hair every 6 weeks. Honestly, even when I had blonde hair and highlights I hated going to the hair salon for hours. It's not my thing... and to top that, it's very costly! I haven't dyed my hair in so long that I am perfectly happy not doing so now, so here is what has worked for me.
That's when I discovered L'Oreal Root Touch Up and it was life changing. I just want to share that this isn't sponsored, I just use this product so much and I know I am not the only one that feels this way about grays! You guys are like my online amigas and I wanted to share the magic!Typically after I brush or style my hair, I spray the gray areas and voila! Problem solved. They have different colors for all tones of hair color. Some people even use it to cover bald spots! The bottle is just $9.99 at Target. On Sunday, we had another amazing breakfast at the house. I loved that this house was so comfortable and we were able to lay around and chill by the fire... the guys did kayaking and then we headed out to Cliff Walk, which was also recommended to me (a hundred times lol) and it was totally worth it and a must see! The walk was beautiful, so serene and just a stunning view. The mansions were out of this world... it's definitely a cool spot to visit and I definitely recommend it.
After the walk, we ate a this spot called Diego's at Newport Wharf Marina... and you guys, please do yourself a favor and go! Have a mango margarita and the chicken tacos, because you will thank me!!! I' m still salivating over it!!! The reviews did not lie... I went after seeing how much people loved it. Not only is it in a cool area at the marina... it's a super cute 2 floor restaurant with bars indoor and outdoors. And then we shopped afterwards. I got myself and the kids a couple of tees and some salt water taffys for my mom and aunts back home:)

Thank you all so much for recommendations... I loved Rhode Island and would love to go back in the spring. I am excited to plan another road trip... renting a house with a group of people is so much fun too. We already have our next trip planned in November and I can't wait!
TRAVEL: NEWPORT, RHODE ISLAND
September 19, 2018
So the hubby turned 40 and really wanted a little getaway instead of a party. The goal for this year was to take as many road trips as we could and Rhode Island was on the list. I put together a long weekend getaway to Newport, Rhode Island and we had the best time! It was 4 couples and we drove down to RI Friday morning and came back Sunday night. Honestly, it was perfect. An extra day would've been the cherry on top, actually. A lot of you wanted some information on the house we rented so here is a travel guide on what we did on our Rhode Island weekend.
WHERE TO STAY
If you are looking for a simple way to rent a getaway house, check out the HomeAway app. I love the this app, so that was a no brainer for me. I love how user-friendly it is and especially that you can see the reviews right on the app. So we rented our lake house through HomeAway and I couldn't be happier with the process. It was easy and stress-free. We rented a gorgeous 3 floor house right on a lake... to say it was stunning is not enough. Check out my IG highlights under "Rhode Island" to see. It was located in Portsmouth - about 15 minutes outside of Newport and it was perfect. Our landlord was amazing and I love that she even had a "house manual" along with a bottle of wine and hand written note for us when we got there! If you are looking to plan a getaway near or far, you should absolutely check out this app. If you are interested in the exact house I stayed in, please email me byerikabatista @ gmail dot com. I'll be happy to send you the direct link.
I planned a simple but fun weekend, I even made this cheesy itinerary which I printed and put in each each couple's bedroom along with a little welcome gift. I wanted to be sure I could make everyone happy and also have some super chill time while getting to tour Newport a s much as we could in 2 days.
Dave and I got there first on Friday, so I made a delicious Ecuadorian dinner for everyone coming in that night. I knew they'd be tired from the 4 hour drive so we had dinner, drinks and played games that night. We had the best time!
On Saturday morning, my sister in law and her hubby cooked us all an amazing breakfast. It was exactly what we all needed. The house was on a beautiful lake and they had kayaks so we put them to good use before heading out to Newport Craft Brewing & Distilling Co. that evening. I found this super dope distillery in Newport while searching on Google. I booked a private tour for our group and we got to taste the crafted beer and spirits. If you are looking for a super cool brewery, check out their Instagram for a look at this cool spot.
After the brewery we attempted to have dinner at Brick Alley Pub, which looks so chic and nice and had amazing reviews online. I am so sad to say we were not able to be seated that night and they did not take reservations:( We actually had dinner at this spot that was recommended to me called The Red Parrot and truthfully I did not like it at all! And it wasn't only me. I would NOT recommend it.

BEST BRAS FOR SMALL BOOBS
September 12, 2018
Being a woman with small boobs I've had my share of insecurities in the past. Having small breasts can get pretty tricky when it comes to wearing certain outfits and the insecurities creep up a lot. I wasn't always comfortable with my boobs (especially after breastfeeding both of my kids) but I found the perfect bra for me and I've been feeling so much more confident and I love it! I've had to learn all the tricks of the trade and for the past few years I've been testing bras and finally found the perfect bra for my boobs! And because you are all my online amigas, I felt that I needed to share the goodies.
This was a post that I've been wanting to share for a while but wasn't really sure how we would shoot it. I wanted to make sure it wasn't overly sexy and that my readers wouldn't be like "wtf is she doing!?" I also wanted to make sure I felt 100% confident while creating some pretty tasteful pics. Thanks so much to Geri for making my vision come to life. We shot this in under 5 minutes in my living room and these are some of my favorite pictures ever. I am so happy we did it and I can't wait to look back one day when I am old and wrinkled haha.
Ok so enough of that, to the point.. ladies, H&M bras are life! Yes, H&M, $24.99 and under! As a matter or fact, the one I am wearing here was actually on sale for $9.99 and it's a fave.
So what's to love?
The padding on the bra is super soft and comfortable, unlike other bras I've tried. Even the very popular ones with a much higher price tag. I love that they have a variety of styles and fabrics to fit whatever your preference is. I personally love the Super Push-up Mesh Bra and it's just $19.99 and I have both colors. I actually wish they made this one in white and black! H&M do you hear that?
Besides the fabric and softness, I love that it completely shapes up to my breasts without leaving that extra space - my small boob mamas know exactly what I'm talking about. Other bras in the past always left that disappointing space and I hated that. I can't believe I've spent so much money in the "best bras" in the past. These bras, whether strapless, lace, or mesh, all fit so well with all of my clothes. It's really given me so much confidence and I cannot be happier.
Finally, the price! It's so inexpensive ($24.99 and under!) and I wear them so much that I've had to wash them so much already, yet they still look great! I recommend you use a little bra laundry bag to throw it in the wash, to preserve them a little better. Especially the lace ones.

I am sure that these are also amazing for the bigger busts babe because I just love the quality and fit... so I shouldn't say these are JUST for smaller girls. I am just going by my personal experience.
So here are some of the ones I have...
Let me know if you also have them and love them like I do or when you get them, if you love them as much as I do. Trust me girl, you will be one happy Small-Cup-Babe! By the way, this is not a sponsored post. Even thought H&M should be hooking it up at this point, haha! Check out their pretty lingerie pieces here. You are welcome;)

transitioning into fall
The great thing about denim shorts is that they are comfortable. You can wear your denim shorts with a turtleneck and long sleeveless jacket over it, wear cute booties or OTK boots and you are ready to go. Want to be a little extra? Wear your favorite wide brim hat or beret and you are 10x more fabulous. Fact: I shot a look just like this over the weekend and I can't wait for you to see.
We all have insecurities but one feature I am very confident about are my legs. So whenever possible, I am in a dress or skirt. Midi dresses are the perfect fall piece because you just never know what temperature you'll get on a random Wednesday in September; especially if you live on the East Coast. Accessorize your dress with a scarf and/or blazer and you are good to go. My favorite is always a denim jacket because you can wear it with a casual outfit and a more dressy look too.

So there you have it babes, 5 pieces you can wear this fall straight from your summer closet. And below find some cute pieces on my shopping list this season.
Have a great first week of September pretty babes!
TRANSITIONING YOUR SUMMER PIECES INTO FALL
September 4, 2018
First day after Labor Day is always the hardest... the long weekend, the in between summer/fall weather and of course back to school. So today I am cheering you up by sharing a few pieces to transition from summer right into fall. Exhibit A? This adorable jumpsuit I got over the summer that I can totally wear right into fall. I wanted to put together a list of 5 pieces from your summer closet you can re-wear and mix and match. Ready? Let's go!
Just like this jumpsuit which I wore more than twice this summer, you can simply throw on a cute jacket, think motto jacket or denim jacket too. I wore it with tennis shoes but you can also add booties for a fun fall look. In my opinion it's all about creativity and recycling key pieces in your wardrobe.
2. DENIM SHORTS
I've lived in my denim shorts this summer. And that is NOT an exaggeration. I have these cute denim shorts that fit just right which I got from Zara last summer and I couldn't stop wearing this year again. And truthfully, I will be wearing them right into fall.
3. MIDI DRESSES
4. SKIRTS
I do not own many skirts, don't ask me why. It's truly a mystery in my book. I am not sure if I just never find the right one or what. But I love skirts and I do need to invest in them. That's my goal for the next few months. But when thinking of great transitional pieces I immediately thought of skirts. There are so many ways to mix up skirts throughout the entire year. Summer - cute tank top. Fall - add a cool sweater. Winter - leggings and sweater + long coat! Spring? The possibilities are endless. I honestly think skirts are the most versatile piece of clothing and I don't know why I don't own enough.
5. LEGGINGS
So I know we all live in leggings all year long. Gym? No gym? I am still in leggings. I even wear a whole gym outfit to clean the house... it feels good and looks cool. Right? I agree. So leggings are super cool from summer (with a cute sports bra or tank) to fall in a cute sweatshirt... so many cute ones lately. A black Champion sweatshirt is on my shopping list this fall. I wore my Adidas one so much last year into spring that I know I need another.

So there you have it babes, 5 pieces you can wear this fall straight from your summer closet. And below find some cute pieces on my shopping list this season.
Have a great first week of September pretty babes!
