New
York Fashion Week is well over by now...
and
I loved being able to watch the shows from the comfort of my own home. This
year I decided to stay in and watch the shows on live stream and catch deets
and things on social media. Thank God for modern technology! With two kiddies
in tow, my days of going into the city (from NJ) daily for NYFW are over. But
that doesn't mean I have to stay out of the loop!
Unless
you're living under a rock, you know that Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner are the
It girls of the moment. Those two beautiful girls are on top of the world!
Ah...to be 19 or 20 again.
They
both walked several runways this season, but one of my favorites had to be the
Diane von Furstenberg Spring/Summer 2016 collection. And what caught my
attention the most was the ‘70s-inspired makeup and hair! I love seeing vintage
looks on modern-day muses.
Those
girls are so naturally beautiful they can truly rock just about anything!
I
decided to have a little fun over the weekend by re-creating this fabulous ‘70s
look. I loved the colored eye shadow and the simple pink/nude lips.
For
my runway-model-inspired look, I used some of my favorite drugstore makeup
brands. If you know me, you know I love a product that is affordable and
convenient. Anything that makes my life easier as a mom! And I love that I can
run to Walgreens to pick these up and find everything I need for my beauty
hauls. Here are some of the brands I used that you will love too!
I
used a purple shadow instead of the blue because I loved the soft yet sultry
look of this Colour Prevails: Eye Shimmer Powder. I applied a soft pinkish lip gloss by Circa Beauty to my lips for a finishing touch. I loved it!
This No7
Perfectly Bronzed Mosaic Bronzer is my latest cheeky obsession! You can make so many
different shades of blush and bronzer; the color is pretty pigmented so trust
me a little goes a long way.
And
to perfect my re-creation of the DVF SS16 collection, I added two of Emme's
flower clips on the side of my hair. I loved this bohemian-yet-fab vibe each of
the models had going.
You have to love that Diane! She wins every time.
You have to love that Diane! She wins every time.
So remember you don't have to spend a ton of money on more expensive brands. Walgreens always has my back and as a blogger and a mom, I appreciate convenience and of course affordability.
What was your favorite runway beauty style?
For me, as you can see Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner's makeup was perfection.
And while I still need a lot of practice,
Walgreens always makes it easy for me to get what I want and love.
How you are looking very pretty, You really inspired me :)
