Celebrity Inspired: Jennifer Lopez

As a fashion blogger I take a lot of my inspiration for when it comes to my wardrobe, from my fabulous Latina celebs.  If there is one celebrity that all Latina’s look up to when it comes to style, that would be Jennifer Lopez. Her versatility in styles, her sex appeal, elegance, chic and fierce fashion is to die for. She can wear just about anything and look fabulous every time. She looks on point wherever she goes; whether that’s the park with her twins, shaking her famous derriere on stage, attending the best  fashion shows and of course the acclaimed  red carpet. The gorgeous 40-something year old Latina is flawless. 

She is better than ever right now. As a Latina, I am very proud to say I look up to her for style 

inspiration and this look was no exception.

 I love this simple but chic Valentino dress Lopez wore to the Valentino Spring 2013 Paris Fashion Week Show. I love the structure of the dress and the ankle straps on her pumps, very feminine but still a bit sexy. When it came to recreating the look I wanted to keep a little of my own style as well, so I wore these black suede pumps that have the silver pointed toes, which I love!  I was in love with this dress from the minute I saw it. The way it hugged my body made me feel very confident and chic.

I enjoyed putting this look together and especially loved my total amount spent for this look. I purchased my dress on sale at H&M for just $20. My shoes were the steal of all deals at just $10 at XSRE. The clutch I’ve had for a long time from JC Penney, for about $20. My total for the look including my earrings is $64.

As a fashion blogger I love to recreate looks inspired by my favorite celebrities. Especially when buying key pieces for amazing prices. It is very important to shop smart when on a budget. 

For me key pieces in my closet are long time investments. 

You can recreate different looks with the same pieces for different seasons and events.
