If you follow me on Snapchat (lolabluestyle) you know I've been celebrating my big 3-2 since last week! Finally today I turn 32 years old and I couldn't be happier. Honestly I don't feel 32, I don't know what 32 is supposed to feel like but I feel like I am still in my 20's... 27ish to be exact.
My birthday celebration started off on Thursday at an event I attended in Brooklyn for The Latina Connect hosted by the fabulous Verky Baldonado, Editor at Large at Latina Magazine. I am so happy I was lucky enough to be amongst 50 powerful and inspirational Latinas during this intimate dinner. The Latina Connect stands for Latina influencers and Latina talent and they believe in bringing us together to make that powerful connection which hopefully will lead to a great relationship with brands, people and simply successful Latinas. It was definitely such a fun night and a nice kick-off to my birthday week celebration. The music was everything, so many throwbacks! It was just awesome to be in the room with such successful and talented Latinas. I am so happy I was able to experience that night.
On Friday, my besties and I had dinner at Teak on the Hudson in Hoboken, it was so nice to get together with my "day-ones" these girls have been with me from the very beginning, always celebrating my ups but most importantly always there for my lows. Two of them are friends from middle school... another from college and another from my old job from nearly a decade ago and all of them love me like no other and I truly cherish, they hold such a special place in my heart. The outfit I am sharing here is from that night with my girls... love the off the shoulder action and I added the choker for a little sexy vibe.

On Saturday, my hubby had a sweet spa day planned for me as a surprise, it was truly what we needed, we had an hour long couples massage, relaxed at the spa pool and then ate lunch. At night we headed out to dinner to celebrate my birthday and my niece's birthday over some yummy Latin food. Fun fact, my 15-year old niece and I share the same birthday; June 13.
Lastly, yesterday, we enjoyed the gorgeous weather at a pool party... my best friend's daughter ALSO shares my birthday, I kid you not! She turns 3 today and she's the cutest little doll... We enjoyed the BBQ, soaked up some vitamin D and the kids enjoyed the day. It was such a wonderful weekend, it truly felt like a long holiday weekend and today on my actual birthday, I am having my family over to sing happy birthday and eat some arroz con pollo, my favorite dish.
I couldn't be more grateful to God and to everyone that surrounds me for my 32 years of life. Life is never easy, everyone has their ups and downs but I wouldn't be where I am without the support and love from my mom, my husband, my aunts, my cousins, my sister in law, my besties... and most importantly my children. It truly takes a village and I am so blessed to have the best people around me that love me unconditionally. Thank you guys for YOUR constant love. It means the world.
