MAMA A LA MODA - UNIVISION FASHION SEGMENT

I usually don't blog on the weekend but I know some of you didn't get to watch my Univision segment on Thursday since it aired only in the NYC, NJ and CT. To say that it was an amazing experience wouldn't be enough. I had been working on this project for a little while now and the day finally came. I must admit I was quite nervous but mostly excited! When I got the opportunity to put this segment together I was given the freedom to talk about whatever I wanted and I chose to do my Mommy Chic styles because I think it is so important to let other moms like me know that we can still the same women we were before baby without letting ourselves go. I was able to pick my models and it was so important to me to show the viewers women of all ages and sizes and not just stick skinny models. So I did what I know best and I brought my family along! I had 2 cousins and 1 aunt, as well as 2 friends model for me. It was so nice to do this with such supportive women. The morning started off pretty early for us and everything went smoothly. All my nerves and anxiety quickly dissolved as soon as the cameras were turned on me. I loved every minute of it and I am so grateful to God I was given the chance to do this. I always say but it is so true without my family's support I would be no where and without you guys this blog wouldn't be where it is today. Little by little, hard work, long nights, stressful days pay off. Thank you so much to those who woke up extra early to watch me and to those who took the time to record the program. Your words of encouragement and love meant the world to me. Here are some pics from that morning.

When I was told the segment would be 5 minutes I was a little freaked out. I thought to myself "5 minutes is long for TV time" but let me tell you they flew by. The whole cast at Univision was simply amazing. They were so sweet to us, I couldn't thank them enough. They were so welcoming and happy to have us.

Thank you so much to my beautiful ladies. They were so willing to do anything for me and so sweet. And they all did so great. We truly had a blast, this was a day to remember.

Susan, Rocio and my tia Martha, my family means the world to me. So happy I could bring them along!

I couldn't have done this without the skills of my fabulous makeup artist Stephanie Crespo. She is so talented and I loved how she made me look, it was exactly what I wanted and she always knows how to make me feel stunning. Thank you Steph, you rock! xo

This is my favorite photo, Belge, one of the models took it!

I hope you guys enjoyed this little recap I have so many photos I am happy you guys were interested in seeing them. This was a VERY long day for me. I woke up at 2:30 am because I couldn't sleep. My alarm had been set for 3:30am but I was so anxious I kept checking the time. Thank you to my wonderful husband for being my rock. You are my all! And thank you to my mom, for being so willing to help me with Ben every time I need her. I could never do this without them. "Good things come to those who work hard".

And lastly here is the video of the segment for those of you who didn't get to see it on Thursday. You can also click HERE to go straight to my YouTube channel and watch it. Enjoy!
