Nothing in the world compares to a mother's love.
And this Mother's Day is extra special because I will be celebrating as a mother of 2 and I feel so blessed for that. I can't wait for that special day where we celebrate the strong, loving, passionate women in our lives. In my family, we typically celebrate with a delicious cena or almuerzo and of course with thoughtful gifts to show how much we care. With Mother's Day being just over a week away, I was able to find a few regalitos that symbolize what my mother means to me, from when I was a little girl, to now that I am a mother of 2 myself.
From thoughtful detallitos like this super sweet "Mom's Recipes" box that I can't wait to fill with my mom's best recetas... to the gorgeous and vibrant jewelry I know she will love. These are the things that mean the world to her, when little gifts like these are given with so much thought behind them. They mean so much and capture her essence so beautifully. I remember since I was a little girl, my mom would always be in her best dresses and wearing the most stunning accessories. Her hair and makeup were intact and of course she raised me to be just as vanidosa as her... and truthfully I couldn't be prouder to represent HER and all the women in my family. I love that now I see her in me with how I am with my own two kids.
The Latina woman is known for wearing gorgeous vibrant colors, stunning prints and always taking care of herself, hair done, nails done... we take pride in representing our cultures. We are defined by our sultry dance moves and for our passion for everything, from family to careers to our delicious food.
My fondest memories of my mom were and have always been those warm apapachos when I needed them most and those sweet engreimientos that made me feel the most special. I see all of that love being passed down now from her to my kids and it makes life come full circle for me. That is why this Mother's Day and every Mother's Day I always aim to make my mom feel as loved and special as she always made me feel.
So when I started thinking of what to get her, my first stop was Target of course. If you follow me on Instagram you know it's no secret that I pretty much live there. I personally love knowing that no matter what kind of gift I am looking for I can always find it at Target. For my tias, mi abuelita and mi querida madre, there's only one store that carries it all. I love that I can find everything that I need in one place. From gorgeous jewels to outfits a la moda and exquisite little details for my home.
This May 10th, I am so happy to be celebrating this special day with the most special women in my life; my mother, mi abuelita, mis tias and of course my family: my two kids and husband.
