BAN BOSSY, BE A LEADER, BE A BOSS

I want to share Ban Bossy with you all. I read about it this week, it is a movement to ban the word "bossy" when referring to girls and women. We are labeled as "bossy" yet boys/men are labeled as "leaders. This sends the wrong message to young girls and subconsciously we are taught that we cannot be leaders or have an opinion that matters. The word "bossy" just has a negative tone to me. Almost, like it is wrong or something to be ashamed of. And though I do not have a daughter (yet) this cause resonated with me. As a woman in 2014 I am proud to say we are definitely making a movement in this world and I would like to keep that going by supporting causes like Ban Bossy, to spread the word and teach our young girls that we too can be leaders and bosses and have our own opinions because they do matter. They always have and they always will, it's true what Beyonce said... we run the world, girls! So I take the pledge because "I AM NOT BOSSY, I AM THE BOSS" - and you too can take the pledge by visiting: BAN BOSSY

We wanted to do something a little different for the blog, especially now that the weather is getting gorgeous here on the East Coast. It was a beautiful Sunday and I wore this look for lunch with my boys. A super detailed, feminine and polished outfit for a fun day out. I paired florals with embellishments and detailed jewelry for a casual spring look for any woman, mom or not.
