November 27, 2012
It will be December in just 3 days... I can't believe it either. I love the holiday spirit and of course the fab dresses and all the glammed up style. I wanted to put together one look every week for ideas on what you can wear for all the holiday events that are filling your calendar!

I love that you can wear this dress again and we all can use a new LBD! This shoes are to die for. You can dress them up with a cute little dress or spark up your casual outfit with these sexy stilettos  And the price of this gold clutch you won't believe! All the above accessories are currently available at my boutique for less than $25 each! They would make super fab stocking stuffers too!

Here is where you can get these items:
DRESS: Asos
CLUTCH: Target
SHOES: Aldo
JEWELRY: Lola Blue, the closet

fall style splurge vs. steal suede booties the look for less wedged booties

{Splurge vs. Steal} Wedged Bootie!

November 13, 2012
I've been looking for the perfect booties for this fall/winter season. I wanted something with a wedge to give me comfort, especially that I can wear often when I am out with my son. I found these amazing brown suede booties at Forever 21 and I knew I had to have them. The very first day I wore them (see how I styled them on THIS POST) I spotted the most similar booties at Zara, see below!

Forever 21: $32.80
Zara: $49.90

Zara's are still very well priced, but I can use the $18 for a casual top or some nice lipstick in a wine hue I've been spotting ;)

Do you love? Which would you get? The only big difference is really the shoe laces.

They don't have my pair available online, I bought them at my local mall. But they do have these faux leather wedged ones I've been eyeing as well... and 3 different color options.

{Fresh Skin} Facial Cleansing Routine!

November 11, 2012
As far back as I can remember, one advice my mom always gave me was to take care of my skin. From when I was a little girl to the days as a teenager when I began to wear makeup. She would always make sure I washed my face correctly, removed my makeup and bought me any products to treat or prevent any acne I may have had. I was lucky to be blessed with fairly clear skin. But there were those days when those little suckers (zits) would appear.

One of the most important things about caring for my body other than healthy eating habits is keeping my skin fresh and clean. As a fashion blogger - I love to play around with clothes AND makeup, I don't wear heavy makeup on a daily basis unless I am on a night out but for my day-to-day I do love my mascara, bronzer,  lipstick/lipgloss, and I can't live without my concealer!

So for me the most important part is cleansing and maintaining, that is to make sure my face is clean and I go to bed makeup-less. But as a mom of a 15 month old and the hectic days I've had lately, for me, a reliable and efficient skin routine is a must! I have trusted Neutrogena for years now. And their Neutrogena® Pink Grapefruit Line features products that powerfully treat and help prevent breakouts and blackheads while delivering a refreshing blast of 100% naturally derived grapefruit extract and vitamin C. It's a win-win for me. Quick and easy steps for fast and amazing results!

IN THE MORNING.
I typically wash my face with a acne preventing cleanser, even though I have fairly clear skin, I like to prevent them. I recently started using Neutrogena® Oil-Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit Facial Cleanser and I must say I am loving it. It leaves my skin feeling amazing, so clear and fresh. It does not irritate my skin and it prevents breakouts!

After washing my face, I use a toner (twice a week, to prevent drying out) then immediately apply an SPF moisturizer, DAILY, even twice a day. I always use SPF on everything I put on my skin.

SCRUBBING IS A MUST.
I use the Neutrogena® Oil-Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit Foaming Scrub three times a week. It does not irritate my skin as it is gentle enough for everyday use, but I like to not use too many products all in one day. I find that for my skin, less is best. I first wash my face with the facial cleanser then use the scrub. These are my best skin days... and my makeup looks amazing after this morning shower wash!

REMOVE YOUR MAKEUP NIGHTLY.
By the time night falls, I am exhausted. This is why I love cleansing wipes! They are easy and efficient. They are my DAILY go-to product when it comes to my bed time routine. I've been using Neutrogena® Oil-Free Cleansing Wipes Pink Grapefruit, they are gentle and remove all my makeup, even my eye makeup! It leaves my skin feeling young and vibrant! And off to bed I go :)

Ladies, it is so important to find the time to care for your skin. For me before I had my baby I had the time of the world. Not "me time" is a lot less but I always find time to follow my skin Facial Cleansing Routine and sticking to it! It is as important as going to the gym or eating healthy. Take care of your skin and maintain it. Whether to you that means a daily facial ritual or a once a month facial at the spa... whatever it may be, be sure to stick to it and make a it a daily occurrence. You will thank yourself in a few years!

What is your skin cleansing routine like?

E.

{Happy First Year Lola Blue}!

November 4, 2012
With the craziness of Hurricane Sandy here on the East Coast, I forgot to post my {One Year Anniversary} last weekend. But it's never to late to wish someone a Happy Birthday :) One year ago on October 27th I began this fabulous journey and since then things haven't been the same. I have met some amazing people, some virtually, others in person. And I cannot be any more grateful to my loyal readers. Because of you, LBTC is growing and will grow to much more!

It has opened the doors to many more dreams and goals. And I am so happy I decided to begin my blog when I did. I couldn't have done it without the support of my husband, my mom and my real friends who have been my biggest cheerleaders. My blog had a slow start because I had a newborn and managing time was difficult at first but now it is like a job to me and a very important element in my life. It has opened up the gates for many dreams and many future ideas.

I can't wait for new things to come! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for an excellent first year! Can't wait to celebrate many more. I couldn't have done it without you.

As always...

Currently Obsessing Forever 21 sequin dress Holiday Dresses Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer Loreal moisturizer Nine West flats Prada Candy Shoe with Bow Winter boots

{Currently Obsessing} November Edition!

November 2, 2012
I've been eyeing some fab pieces for this fall season that I am totally in love with! I am so obsessed with these items, I do have a just 2 of these... but my poor wallet can't handle them all but at least I can post and wish ;) ...well and maybe I will be getting a couple of these! Sigh.

How fabulous and very "holiday cheer" is this sequin dress from Asos?
I hope they get it back in stock soon!
I love the very tailored look of this BCBG trench coat! Reminds me of an old Hollywood casual style.

This sparkly dress is one to definitely own! And at just $24.80 you cannot go wrong!
Especially for the holidays. Where else but Forever 21.

This will be one item I will be adding to my closet that bow and glitter is a must-have this holiday season! Find it at Forever 21 online
I have always loved this brown/orange leather look! And I am loving the piece of fabric they've added to it. I think this is a great buy at H&M for only $129!
I have been a Laura Mercier fan for some time now and I recently tried this new tinted moisturizer compact that acts as my foundation and blemish eraser! I love it! And the plus? SPF!
I love SPF on everything. So this by far is a win-win!

I love trying new beauty products whenever it is time to purchase a new I usually purchase a whole new brand. I just like to try new things until I find the perfect one. And this, ladies, the PERFECT one, for my skin at least. It is light weight and just feels refreshing and clean. It has Vitamin E which I love and helps keep your skin looking young and radiant. L'oreal Futur-e is one product I won't be switching! It is the best moisturizer I've ever used.
This is one item I hope my hubby sees ;) I am obsessed with the suede trend for winter. And this pop of color is sure to spark a conversation. this classic purse has a modern twist that I love... by who else but my favorite hanbag designer Michael Kors! ...Perfect Christmas gift, my love.
Ever since becoming a mom I am finding myself in more and more flats! But thank you shoe gods, flats are super fab now-a-days! Phew! Running around after a 15 month old is no easy task... especially while trying to keep being fabulous! These fab flat babies can be found at Nine West!

And last but not least, the scent that is my signature now! Prada Candy! If you haven't smelled it you don't know what you are missing. Go and grab one... you will be in love. It has this romantic yet sweet but girly scent to it. I die for it.

Hoping to grab a couple of these as soon as I can get a minute to head to the mall... super busy lately!

What is your list consisting of this season? Do you have any of these?
