5 OUT OF THE BOX VALENTINE'S DAY DATE IDEAS

Let me start off by saying that I am not one of those V-Day obsessed women or anything, I do believe that Valentine's Day is  absolutely marketing (hallmark) holiday buuuut give me any excuse for date night and some extra romance and I'm all about it! Besides, going to a restaurant to eat from a
pre-fixed menu is not my favorite thing to do in the world... For today's post I rounded up 5 out-of-the-box Valentine's Day date ideas. Dinner is sweet (this girl's got to eat!) and all but doing something out of the ordinary always grabs my attention.

1. STAY IN NYC FOR THE NIGHT.

This is something I haven't done but would love to and I hope we get to do it this spring. Stay in NYC for the night or the weekend! Having New York City so close to use sometimes makes you not appreciate it as much as tourists do. One of my goals this year is for Dave and I to stay in the city and explore. Explore the restaurants, shows, museums or simply walk around the beautiful city. How romantic would it be to stroll down Central Park, rent a boat at the Loeb Boathouse... sip on some hot cocoa at Serendipity and of course do a little shopping. I am smiling ear to ear just typing this!

2. GO TO A CONCERT.

Concerts are my favorite dates. This year I have a few on my list since we didn't do any last year.! If you are a Marc Anthony fan, the ultimate concert on Valentine's Day has to be his! This year he will be playing at Prudential Center on February 17! Check it out here. Now if you want to gift concert tickets for Valentine's Day, that's absolutely a cute idea... I know I would love it. Justin Timberlake and Maluma have concerts coming up in March, those two are on my concert bucket list this year!

3. SPA DATE.

Dave and I have this spa we go to in Old Bridge that we love! It's called Eden Spa & Salon. We usually do a couples massage and lunch by their spa pool and just truly relax for a couple of hours. The spa can set up a lunch for you to be ready once your massage is over.

You can also check out Sojo Spa Club in Edgewater, NJ. We went there for one of our anniversaries and it was really nice. There are multiple floors with different types of massages, saunas and therapy rooms for you to choose from. We did the spa for a couple of hours and then had dinner at a restaurant by the water.

4. TAKE A SALSA CLASS TOGETHER.

I love to dance... take me our dancing and I'm the happiest. This is one of those things I've wanted to do for years with my husband and for one reason or the next it always falls in the back burner. Taking a salsa lesson would be so fun! Now I know how to dance salsa and love it but it never hurts to get a couple tips from the pros. Put on your dancing shoes and take your lady to a romantic passionate salsa lesson!

5. ICE SKATING.

New York City has such nice ice skating rinks with the best views in the city and it's sure to make for one unforgettable date. We recently took the kids to Wollman Rink in Central Park and it was honestly so beautiful. The Standard Hotel has a really cute ice skating rink also! Spend the night at The Standard, ice skate a little and have some fun at Le Bain! Perfect little date night you'll never forget<3

This post made me so giddy (haha!) it's so nice to plan romantic dates for your significant other... I am a romantic at heart and I love anything and everything thoughtful. Give me all the romance and flowers and I'll love you forever! Valentine's Day gets super commercial for me which is why I wanted to share some memorable date ideas with you to make Valentine's Day more than a hallmark holiday. Take the opportunity to make sweet memories and celebrate your love.

This year Dave and I are celebrating Valentine's Day with the kids at home on the 14th. I plan to set up a really nice table for us... and to make things extra special, I always like to tell each other what we love about one another so much. The kids love special dinner themes at home. We will order food from a favorite restaurant, set up a cute V-day inspired table and love on one another so much. Mama and Papa will get their romantic and out-of-the-box date night on the weekend all to ourselves, sans children;)

Happy LOVE month babes!
