LET'S CATCH UP

Hey guys! I know I've been a little MIA on here lately but it's been a hectic couple of weeks for me. This past weekend was my husband's birthday and we celebrated from Friday all the way to Monday (he's actual bday!). I've also been feeling some type of way about everything that has been going on
in the world lately. As you know... Charleston, Barcelona, Venezuela and now Hurricane Harvey. So It's been a little difficult to get into the groove on the blog. But I did want to pop up in here to update you guys on the last week.

I definitely don't want to be a damper on anyone's mood, since we all know what is going on in the world... so I won't dwell on that too long but if you can help any way you can, please do so. I have shared ways to help #HurricaneHarvey victims on my IG stories since yesterday.

As far as work goes for me, last week was an amazing week... For starters, I spoke on a panel of 5 Latina bloggers in front of about 17 Procter & Gamble execs and it was so empowering. We spoke about our culture, our family dynamics, our careers and our influence, we even touched on politics and it was truly a very rewarding day for me. It assured me that I am doing the right thing and that this blogging career of mine was placed in my life for a great reason. There's just something about being in a room full of people who understand what you do and the type of influence you have in the social media world... that it goes above the latest OOTD or best lipsticks... it is so much more than that. The connection we, as influencers have built on a community of people, is truly admirable. And I say that with all the humbleness in the world. I think if you know me, you know that I appreciate everything I have and everything I have through my career I owe it to you.

When I think back on that day, I place it in a 'highlights of blogging' folder, you know why? Because sometimes it's so hard to explain to people what it is that I do. But being in front of these brand executives that were so intrigued in our opinions, lives and careers, was reassuring. It reassured me that the career I have made for myself is the right one. And that my influence over my readers and followers has meaning. We connect on a different level. We connect via social media but we impact each other's lives. And I say we because YOU impact my life and my children's lives daily. I do what I do because of YOU. And I can never thank you enough. It's days like those, that fuel me with confidence, passion and empower me. As a women, mom and Latina.

Besides that, I have a really amazing campaign I did with Chatbooks that I am posting today on Instagram and that I am really proud of. I am so proud of this project because I finally outsourced and hired a videographer. And the video turned out exactly how I had envisioned. Collaborating with Chatbooks was actually a huge deal to me, because it's an app I've used for years. So when they emailed me wanting to collab with me, I nearly jumped for joy! I hope you will enjoy it:)
